Role Description
This is a full-time on-site Storekeeper role at Qatar National Plastic Factory W.L.L. in Doha, Qatar. The Storekeeper will be responsible for tasks such as packing, inventory control, inventory management, and unloading. The role involves ensuring effective management of materials and supplies.
Functions and duties of the job:
- Receive and issue materials to/from stores.
- Ensure that goods received are in order and as per specifications issued to the supplier.
- Monitor the movement of incoming and outgoing goods.
- Prepare the Store Receiving Voucher (SRV) for all incoming materials and Goods Issuing Note (GIN) for all outgoing materials.
- Prepare the Material Transfer Note (MTN) transfer of materials from production to Stores Issuing Note (MIN) for all internal transfers from stores to production.
- Determine an appropriate location and shelves/bins within the store where materials can be stored.
- Maintain a computer record of all receipts and issues.
- Produce regular reports and statistics as and when required.
- Send a monthly stock statement of all materials to the respective division managers.
- Arrange for transportation, forklift, and manpower to carry goods/materials to customers.
- Ensure efficient and proper stacking, handling, and prompt delivery of goods to customers.
- Conduct physical stock (inventory) verification.
- Ensure the safety and security of goods/materials in store.
- Ensure order and cleanliness in the store.
- Assist auditors with the inspection of stores during the year-end audit cycle.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Additional certification in inventory management, logistics, or supply chain (preferred).
- Proven work experience as a storekeeper, or similar role.
- Familiarity with inventory management software and tools.
- Proficiency in computer applications, particularly MS Office (Excel, Word).
- Knowledge of inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in inventory records.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work under pressure.
