Job Description:
As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records for the company. Your key responsibilities will include processing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with UAE accounting regulations. You will work closely with other departments to ensure financial operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day financial transactions including invoicing, payments, and collections.
- Record and reconcile all financial transactions in the accounting system.
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial reports, such as balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements.
- Assist in preparing financial statements for internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure timely payment of suppliers and contractors.
- Monitor and manage petty cash.
- Conduct regular bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions, ensuring compliance with company policies and UAE tax laws.
- Assist in the preparation for audits and liaise with auditors as required.
- Work closely with other departments to ensure financial processes are followed accurately and efficiently.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role.
- Strong understanding of UAE accounting standards and regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, Zoho & similar).
- Advanced MS Excel skills.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus).
- Knowledge of VAT laws in the UAE and related filing procedures.
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with payroll processing and HR-related tasks.
- Experience with international accounting standards or working in a multicultural environment.
- Valid driving license.
