Job Description:
- Responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to ensure efficient and cost-effective production of high-quality products.
- Providing manufacturing support for existing products and for developing and introducing new products and equipment.
- Manufacturing engineer responsible for studying all requirements for each production process and product at hand and determining the most efficient operations based on these requirements.
- Designing manufacturing processes: This involves creating the most efficient and cost-effective methods for producing goods, including selecting appropriate equipment, determining process flow, and establishing production sequences.
- Developing process documentation: Creating detailed documentation such as process flow diagrams, work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and bill of materials (BOMs).
- Overseeing equipment installation and commissioning
- Implementing process improvements: Using data analysis and problem-solving techniques to implement changes that improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
- Applying continuous improvement methodologies: Utilizing methodologies like Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Kaizen to drive ongoing process improvements.
- Collaborating with design engineers: Working closely with design engineers to ensure that new products are designed for manufacturability and assembly.
- Developing manufacturing processes for new products: Creating and implementing manufacturing processes for new products, including process validation and production ramp-up.
- Creating tooling and fixtures: Designing and overseeing the fabrication of tooling, fixtures, and other equipment required for new product manufacturing.
- Monitoring product quality.
- Implementing corrective actions.
Qualification:
Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering,
Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Experience:
2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
