Job Summary
As an important part of the Ministry of Defence, Defence Intelligence (DI) provides intelligence analysis, specialist outputs and advice that supports decision making across government. At the heart of DI is the National Centre for Geospatial Intelligence (NCGI).
We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to join and lead our hard-working Registry team. As the Registry Manager you are responsible for the smooth running of storage, accounting, and receipt/dispatch of all Protectively Marked Material (PMM) within Pathfinder Building, including physical and digital information security.

Job Description
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Facilitate the effective and efficient running of the Registry and its outputs.
- Provide security advice to individuals with respect to PPM, ensuring all registry personnel are adequately trained and familiar with local processes and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Deliver an effective centralised administration service within Pathfinder building, in accordance with MOD regulations and UK policy, which includes records management of hardcopy and electronic corporate information, including legacy archived material, to ensure that Freedom of Information Requests can be actioned accordingly.
- Oversight of the processing of all business mail received in Pathfinder Building, including its distribution to staff and its collection for dispatch.
- Provide advice and guidance to customers on registry practices ensuring compliance with Information Management policy and other standards.
This role has direct line management responsibility for 5 positions.

Person specification
We are seeking an individual, with strong attention to detail, decision making and interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly and concisely communicate both orally and in writing, with the confidence to champion change and table new ideas and creative solutions.
Although the job is routine based, due to legislation and policy, you will need to be flexible, with a proactive approach to daily tasks and able to prioritise effectively. Understanding of PPM and the discretion and confidentiality associated to it is a must in the team and is an essential attribute for all applicants.
Essential Criteria
Prioritisation and decision-making skills.
Good understanding of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams.
Desirable Criteria
Knowledge & experience of SharePoint (Or similar content management system) administration.
Line management experience would be beneficial for this role.
