A CNC VTL (Vertical Turret Lathe) Operator is responsible for operating two CNC VTL machines to produce precision parts and components. Key duties include:
- Setting up and programming CNC VTL machines based on technical drawings or work orders
- Loading and unloading materials and finished parts
- Monitoring machine performance and adjusting settings for optimal cutting and finishing
- Ensuring parts meet quality standards by inspecting them for accuracy and conformance
- Performing regular maintenance and cleaning of machines
- Troubleshooting any machine issues or errors during production
- Keeping detailed records of production, including measurements and machine settings
- Following all safety protocols and maintaining a clean, organized work area
