Responsibilities
Establish and implement the project controls process and system. Provide
project management support in the development of the work breakdown
structure (WBS), activities, logic, resources and progress of the integrated
project schedule, i.e. baseline.
Managing the development of a portfolio, programme, and project control
processes and procedures covering the full portfolio life cycle from project
inception to handover.
Provide strategic guidance to lead the program control teams of the
Consultants and the General Contractor/ Sub-Contractors consistent with
the different project’s execution strategy.
Lead the development of cost management, planning and progress
monitoring procedures.
The approved candidate will lead a team of Senior project controls
managers and reporting engineers
Analyze complex construction schedules with multiple suppliers and
contractors, provide advice to the team and recommend action to maintain
control over project progress.
Identify, implement and maintain the complete controls structure, tools and
procedures needed for the program based on the contracting strategy,
execution plan and the risks identified for different projects.
Lead the development of cost management, planning and progress
monitoring procedures.
Demonstrate ability to work independently on complex project controls
issues, manage conflict and provide resolution using a combination of
technical skills, leadership, and teamwork and people management skills.
Broad knowledge of applicable Project Controls software’s and tools.
Managing the programme to ensure that controls translate to the client’s
RIBA 2020-based plan of work, which in turn will need to be mapped to
the client’s bespoke investment control procedure.
Directing the establishment of procedure implementation roadmaps,
establishment of project KPIs and success measurement protocol.
Maintaining awareness of key tools available on the market in the project
controls arena ensuring relevance/class leading offer providing by the
Employer.
Understanding of construction technology, planning, delivery, site
logistics, commercial, and legal/contract issues.
