Job Summary: The QC Lab Technician will be responsible for conducting tests and inspections on paper products and raw materials to ensure they meet quality and performance standards. This role involves working closely with production and engineering teams to address quality issues and implement improvements in the manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Testing and Analysis: Perform routine and specialized tests on paper products and raw materials, including physical, chemical, and optical tests, to ensure compliance with quality specifications and industry standards.
- Data Recording: Accurately record and analyze test results, prepare detailed reports, and document any deviations or non-conformities.
- Quality Control: Monitor and inspect paper mill processes to ensure adherence to quality control procedures, and identify areas for improvement.
- Equipment Maintenance: Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring it is functioning correctly and performing accurate tests.
- Troubleshooting: Investigate quality issues, conduct root cause analysis, and work with production teams to resolve problems and implement corrective actions.
- Compliance: Ensure all testing procedures and documentation comply with internal quality standards and external regulatory requirements.
- Collaboration: Work closely with production, engineering, and other departments to support quality initiatives and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
- Training: Provide training and guidance to other team members on quality control procedures and best practices.
