Utility Worker/Dishwasher
Part-Time: 4:30pm - 9:30pm

The Kitchen Utility Worker performs a number of kitchen activities including pot washing, dish washing, general cleaning duties and storing food and non-food supplies.
- Cleans kitchen thoroughly daily.
- Sets up the dish and pot washing area, and washes pots, dishes and utensils.
- Distributes and stores clean pots, dishes and utensils.
- Cleans and sanitizes production equipment, work surfaces and kitchen according to cleaning schedules and procedures.
- Empties all trash containers in kitchen into dumpster daily.
- Keeps storerooms, freezers and refrigerators clean.
- Mops floors at designated times.
- Stores food and non-food supplies, restocking provisions after deliveries.
- Limited preparations of vegetables and provisions in time of need, under direct supervision.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
Moderate to heavy physical effort throughout the day. Must be able to stand or walk for up to 100% of the work day. Must be able to bend, stoop, and stretch frequently throughout the day. Manual dexterity for preparing food. Ability to use standard industrial kitchen appliances required. Must be able to perform sweeping/mopping functions with ease. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. When lifting loads over 50 lbs., use two or more people. It is your responsibility to ask for assistance. Must be able to push and/or pull wheeled carts and equipment generally weighing up to 200 lbs. May be exposed to extreme temperatures (freezers and stoves-range burners) for short periods of time. May be exposed industrial and household chemicals and high heat levels.

What You Will Bring
- At least one year experience cleaning commercial kitchens.
- Ability to understand and follow instructions in English.
- Ability to set up and operate dish washing equipment.
