Position Summary:
The Assistant Manager will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the restaurant. This position requires someone who is organized, has strong leadership abilities, and is customer-focused. The Assistant Manager will support the Operations/Restaurant Manager in day-to-day operations, staff management, and maintaining high service standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Team Management: Assist in managing and leading the restaurant team, ensuring high morale, proper training, and performance management.
- Customer Service: Maintain a high level of customer service by addressing any issues or concerns promptly and effectively. Ensure all guests have a positive dining experience.
- Operations: Oversee daily operations, including opening/closing duties, scheduling, inventory management, and maintaining cleanliness and safety standards.
- Financials: Assist in managing budgets, controlling costs, and maximizing revenue. Monitor sales and labor costs to meet financial targets.
- Compliance: Ensure all staff adhere to health, safety, and food sanitation standards. Stay compliant with local regulations and company policies.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth coordination and service delivery.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role in the restaurant or hospitality industry.
- Strong understanding of restaurant operations, including food safety, inventory management, and POS systems.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities effectively.
