We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, handling accounts payable and receivable, and assisting with financial reporting using Microsoft Dynamics Business Central. Your expertise will contribute to the smooth operation of our financial functions, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Record Transactions: Maintain and update financial transactions such as purchases, sales, receipts, and payments in Microsoft Dynamics Business Central (knowledge of the software is a significant advantage).
- Data Entry: Accurately enter financial data into MD Business Central, adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage accounts payable and receivable, including processing/issuing invoices and reconciling accounts.
- Financial Reporting: Assist with preparing financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and other financial data as required.
- Tax Compliance: Support tax filings by preparing necessary documents and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal tax laws.
- Expense Tracking: Monitor company expenses, reconcile expense reports with financial data, and prepare and track reimbursement reports.
- General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts and sub-ledgers to ensure data accuracy.
- Auditing Assistance: Provide support during audits by preparing required financial documents and data.
- Ad Hoc Reporting and Support: Offer administrative and financial support to the team as needed.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Education: Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably within the services industry.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in accounting software, particularly Microsoft Dynamics Business Central.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially in Excel.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
- Attention to Detail: Demonstrates a high level of accuracy and strong organizational skills.
