An exciting development opportunity has arisen on the Surgical Oncology Unit for a permanent, band 5 (37.5 hours) staff nurse post.
You should be a highly motivated professional with surgical experience, who wishes to develop their clinical knowledge and management skills. You must be a team player who is driven to improve patient care and experience, ensuring the delivery of exceptional, high quality care.
Our patients undergo highly specialized and often complex surgery across the Colorectal, Urology, Gynecology and Plastic Surgery specialties.
The successful candidate will also possess excellent organizational, communication and clinical skills relevant to the post and be able to act as a positive role model. Commitment to the on-going development of the ward and multidisciplinary team working is essential. We welcome newly qualified nurses into this post also.

We care for all surgical oncology patients pre and post operatively within the Christie, working closely with the MDT to ensure safe recovery and safe discharge.
