We're looking for a Supply Chain Manager to join our team in Munich, Germany.
As Supply Chain Manager at Westfalia Fruit, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring our supply chain runs smoothly. You'll oversee stock control, allocation, and quality management, ensuring optimal stock levels and efficient communication across key teams. Your focus will be on avocado and mango products, optimising supply chain processes from stock control to allocation.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage daily planning of avocado and mango goods for transfer to Munich based on demand, quality, specifications, and warehouse capacity
- Handle communication regarding stock transfers between the different warehouses, ensuring accurate transport orders
- Control and monitor allocated stock to our service provider, ensuring quality and ripening stages are tracked accurately
- Assign older or refused goods to appropriate channels (Munich, oil/guacamole, or decay) after consultations
- Ensure the availability of goods in the Cool Control ripening center, meeting customer specifications (GGN/Certificates, variety, origin)
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to support reporting requirements, including the Global Meeting Report
- Support the QM team with the follow-up on certificate requests and renewals, ensuring suppliers respond to certification petitions
- Manage and coordinate the "Emergency contact on weekends" plan for the import/supply chain department
Requirements
- Proven experience in supply chain management, preferably in the fresh produce or food industry.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage stock control, allocations, and reporting.
- Proficient in Excel and supply chain management systems.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
- Fluency in German and English languages at C1 level or above
Desirable
- Additional fluency in Spanish, French or Portuguese is an additional bonus.
- Knowledge of ripening processes for fresh produce is an advantage.
