Job Title: Chief Accountant

Job Overview:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Accountant to join their Finance Department. In this full-time, on-site position you will oversee all accounting operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Your key responsibilities will include preparing financial statements, managing budgeting and forecasting, supervising the accounting team, coordinating audits, and implementing efficient accounting processes. You will also monitor financial performance, providing insights to senior management to support strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial reporting.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Supervise and mentor the accounting team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Coordinate audits and liaise with external auditors.
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency.
- Monitor and analyse financial performance, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure timely reconciliation of all accounts
Qualifications:
- Fluency in English and Russian language (both written and spoken) is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. A professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CMA) is preferred.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in accounting, with at least 3 years in a leadership role (Chief Accountant or equivalent).
- Experience with ERP systems (preferably FirstBit ERP or 1C Database) and data migration projects.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and UAE tax regulations.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in work.
- Ability to communicate effectively with senior management and across different departments.
