About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Program Manager to join our team within the Commercial Vehicles R&D Department. This role is central to the development of our products, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic goals, budget, and timelines. Collaborating closely with the cross-functional Platform team (including the Platform Manager, Chief Engineer, Quality Manager, Cost Engineer, and Buyer), the Program Manager will drive the project from inception to completion, tracking progress and building strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the definition and monitoring of project timelines and development expenses.
- Managing project documentation and maintaining a comprehensive project archive.
- Handling risk management and project progress meetings.
- Monitoring the progress of activities and promptly reporting any project risks or issues.
Main Activities:
- Planning the project alongside the team, updating the master and detailed project plans, and submitting these to the Platform Manager for review.
- Drafting and regularly updating the Working Group document.
- Preparing the list of project-specific components, following guidance from the Chief Engineer.
- Coordinating requests for development cost estimates and monitoring the costing estimates provided by the Cost Engineer.
- Defining project CAPEX from a Business Plan perspective and tracking forecasts and monthly actuals for the Capex dashboard.
- Organizing and leading Weekly Project Progress Meetings with all involved resources.
- Managing shopping carts according to the development plan timeline, ensuring alignment with targeted economic values.
- Overseeing the progress of development activities and adherence to delivery deadlines.
- Receiving and monitoring internal and external activity schedules from the Quality Manager.
- Preparing checklists for Gate Meetings and approval reviews.
- Coordinating the availability of vehicles for technical documentation and training for the service network.
- Managing and updating the project plans and archives for projects within the assigned area.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering.
- Proven experience (5+ years) as a Program Manager with a strong understanding of product development cycles.
- Strong project management skills, including experience with budgeting, scheduling, and risk management.
- Knowledge of automotive quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams.
