Responsibilities
- Quality Management System (QMS)
- Develop, implement, and maintain the QMS in compliance with relevant standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
- Ensure the QMS is effectively integrated into all project phases.
- Quality Assurance and Control
- Establish procedures for quality assurance to prevent defects and ensure compliance with specifications.
- Conduct regular quality audits and inspections to monitor compliance and performance.
- Analyze quality data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain comprehensive quality documentation, including manuals, procedures, and work instructions.
- Prepare and present quality reports to stakeholders, highlighting performance metrics, non-conformities, and improvement actions.
- Training and Education
- Develop and implement training programs for staff on quality standards, policies, and procedures.
- Conduct regular workshops and refresher courses to enhance team competence in quality management.
- Supplier and Contractor Management
- Evaluate and select suppliers and contractors based on quality performance and compliance with specifications.
- Monitor supplier performance and conduct regular assessments to ensure quality standards are met.
- Continual Improvement
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the organization through initiatives like Lean, Six Sigma, etc.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective action processes for quality issues.
- Risk Management
- Identify potential quality-related risks in projects and develop mitigation strategies.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement controls to minimize impacts on project quality.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Establish effective communication channels with stakeholders to ensure alignment on quality expectations.
- Engage with clients, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders to address quality concerns and requirements.
- Competence Assurance
- Assess and ensure the competence of team members involved in quality management activities.
- Implement performance appraisal systems to evaluate and enhance team skills related to quality assurance.
Qualifications
BE / B-Tech in civil engineering from a reputable institute with 12-15 years of experience
Professional Qualification (Desired)
- ISO certification in Internal Audit / Lead Audit is desirable.
- Six Sigma Certification
- Lean construction methodology
