The Project Associate works closely with the Head of PMO and Corporate Performance to support project planning and management and ensure execution is on-time and within scope. Provides visibility on projects and program status, selection, prioritization, initiation and overall monitoring of projects.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Project Management Support
- Support development and updates of project management standards and reporting best practice.
- Ensure effective performance and governance standards are in place and implemented for the delivery of key programs and projects.
- Support monitoring and reporting of the portfolio of programs and projects.
- Update report formats on Power BI.
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties for flawless implementation of projects.
- Support on project risk management by adhering to project governance and escalation matrix.
- Update the Head of PMO and Corporate Performance on management of projects.
- Support on project governance and stakeholder management.
- Responsible for project documentation.
- Support on project communication.
- Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Line Manager.
Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures
- Support on developing and cycle review of Departments' delegation of authorities, policies, processes, standard operating procedures.
- Support on developing process roadmaps.
Continuous Improvement
Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability of systems and processes, considering global standards, productivity improvement and cost reduction.
Reporting
- Assist in the preparation of project/ program updates, risk charters, stakeholder management documents and
- policies and quality standards.
- Develop report in PowerPoint with data visualization and strategic thinking.
- Develop white-paper research documents.
CONTEXT, WORK ENVIRONMENT & DECISION- MAKING AUTHORITY:
- Participates in execution of MCQ's comprehensive long-term business strategy. Responsible for contributing in meeting strategic goals and objectives within functional area.
- Operates under the mandates authorized by the Head of PMO and Corporate Performance, ensuring all organizational activities are managed with high standards of oversight and reporting, thus upholding accountability and transparency.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or a similar discipline from a reputable university.
- Project Management accreditation is strongly preferred (Agile, Scrum, PMP, Prince2 or equivalent).
Minimum Experience:
- Minimum three (3) years of project management experience, supporting and/or managing projects in a fast-paced environment;
- Experience in project planning utilizing defined project approaches and methodology;
- Experience working in the public sector or the media industry is considered a plus.
Required Competencies

- Strong Command of English language. Fluency in Arabic is preferred.
- Skilled in using project management tools; such as MS Project or equivalent.

- Basic Power BI knowledge.
