Job Description: Facility Manager - Renewable Energy Sector

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Facility Manager to oversee and manage the daily operations, maintenance, and sustainability efforts for our renewable energy facilities in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The Facility Manager will play a critical role in ensuring that our operations are safe, efficient, and environmentally sustainable, contributing to our mission of advancing renewable energy and aligning with Vision 2030. This position requires a hands-on leader with strong knowledge of facility management practices, technical expertise in the energy sector, and an unwavering commitment to safety and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facility Operations and Maintenance
- Oversee the daily operations and maintenance of renewable energy facilities, ensuring all assets are managed efficiently and effectively.
- Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance schedules for equipment and infrastructure to maximize operational uptime.
- Coordinate with technical teams to handle facility issues promptly and minimize disruptions to operations.
- Safety and Compliance
- Ensure all facilities comply with local, national, and industry safety regulations and standards, including environmental health and safety (EHS) requirements.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential risks, ensuring that corrective actions are taken as needed.
- Implement and promote a culture of safety awareness and regulatory compliance across all facility staff and contractors.
- Energy Efficiency and Sustainability
- Drive energy efficiency initiatives and promote sustainable practices within facility management, aiming to reduce operational costs and carbon footprint.
- Monitor and report on energy usage, water conservation, waste reduction, and other environmental metrics to support sustainability goals.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in renewable energy technology and integrate best practices to improve facility performance.
- Budget and Resource Management
- Prepare and manage the facility budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and cost-effective operations.
- Monitor facility-related expenditures and report on budget variances, cost savings, and ROI of improvement initiatives.
- Oversee vendor contracts and procurement for facility services, ensuring high-quality, cost-effective solutions.
- Emergency Preparedness and Risk Management
- Develop, implement, and regularly test emergency response plans to address facility emergencies, including power outages, equipment failures, and natural disasters.
- Establish a risk management framework to identify, mitigate, and monitor risks related to facility operations.
- Stakeholder Collaboration
- Coordinate and communicate with internal and external stakeholders to support facility projects, renovations, and expansions.
- Work closely with project management teams for new facility developments and upgrades to meet technical and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, and other departments to support employee and organizational needs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Facility Management, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in facility management, preferably in the renewable energy or industrial sector.
- Strong knowledge of facility operations, safety regulations, and sustainability best practices.
- Proven experience in energy management and implementing environmentally friendly facility solutions.
- Excellent project management and leadership skills, with a strong ability to handle multiple tasks and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in facility management software (CAFM, CMMS) and MS Office Suite.
- Professional certification in facility management (e.g., FMP, CFM) is desirable.
