The successful candidate will be joining the business during an exciting time of transformation, and this role will provide the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, diverse environment which requires a pragmatic, commercial approach to shaping and executing our enterprise data strategy. This new position will include designing, implementing, and maintaining a robust data architecture framework, which will be pivotal in transforming our data landscape. In this role you will be responsible for establishing the technical vision for handling all data assets and translating business requirements into efficient and scalable data solutions. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring data quality and governance, and facilitate data-driven decision-making.
This is a permanent, predominantly remote position with occasional travel across the UK, particularly to Inverness and London. We are offering an impressive rewards and benefits package, including:

Required experience and qualifications:
• Higher education degree or equivalent
• 8+ years of experience in Data Architecture
• Expert knowledge of data architecture principles and methodologies
• Track record of implementing enterprise-wide data solutions
• Strong leadership and influencing abilities
• Flexibility to travel occasionally to other office locations
• Ability to work extended hours when required
Role and responsibilities:
• Design, development and execution of our strategic data architecture blueprint
• Establish and implement comprehensive data architecture standards and principles that form the foundation of our Data Policy
• Spearhead the Data Architecture strategy, with particular focus on data sourcing methodologies and mastering approaches
• Take ownership of the data catalogue, collaborating with business units and change projects to ensure consistent, high-quality business and technical metadata
• Serve as a key strategic advisor within the data programme
• Bridge the gap between data, technical, and business architecture
• Advance organisational data maturity
• Champion data best practices across the organisation, ensuring their effective implementation in all data projects
