Freddie's Flowers was founded by Freddie Garland in October 2014 with one ambition: to change people's relationship with flowers. We believe flowers aren't only for grand occasions, but they make every day special, inspiring creativity and sparking joy.
Our starting point was our direct-to-consumer subscription model, helping us grow a loyal UK following. We launched in Germany in 2020, and then in 2021 we secured significant backing from The Craftory, a like-minded purpose-led global investment house, helping us expand, develop and grow. 2023 saw us start our gifting service - bringing the best of Freddie's Flowers to everyone who needs it (even last minute!).
From the seed of an idea we continue to flourish; we're now a B Corp organisation, certified Carbon Neutral (by the Carbon Trust). And our founding mission remains unchanged - to change the world of flowers, and to change the world
with flowers.
About The Role:
Freddie's pretty good with flowers, he's rubbish at creating videos.
So, he's looking for someone to help create content for Freddie's Flowers Organic and Paid Social Media.
Together with Freddie and the Art and Style Manager, you'll create weekly organic content that encapsulates what being flowerful is all about, along with following clear content briefs from the Paid Marketing team.
You'll create fun, energetic, bouncy videos that both our existing followers and new followers want to watch; they'll have a focus on flowers, their surroundings, the people we work with and our wonderful customers.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Roughly two days filming, three days editing per week
Content Creation Organic Social
- Ideation for content - brainstorm fresh, exciting video ideas that will help us grow our awareness on organic social and engage our followers
- Work closely with the Founder and Art and Style Manager to come up with, film and edit Organic Social Media content
- Establish how best to film Fred's weekly Arranging Video Tutorials
Content creation for Paid Social
- Working to briefs from the Paid performance team film content to drive conversion
- Edit raw footage, adding motion graphics and incorporating sound design to create polished videos for paid channels like meta and Instagram.
A Bit About You:
- A strong visual / artistic eye and a creative mind brimming with ideas
- An organised mind able to ensure the above goals are met
- Ability to give direction on how best to film an idea
- A passion for creating captivating video and photography, plus a strong technical ability for content editing
- The ability to create engaging edits; choppy cuts, clever zooms, soft and peaceful - we'll need all this and more!
- Experience in creating content for a brand and creating content for paid social
Requirements
- 3+ years experience
- Requires a technical understanding of video capture, editing and production, staying on trend with current editing techniques
- Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, or equivalent
- Proven ability to deliver high-quality, engaging video content under tight deadlines
- Ability to respond ASAP to trends to capitalise on those opportunities
NOT NEEDED!
- Knowledge of flowers - we'll teach you that (though an excitement to work with them would be nice)
