We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper with experience in the F&B industry for a hospitality group in Dubai. If you have a strong background in bookkeeping and a passion for the F&B industry, this is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Record Maintenance: Accurately record and manage financial transactions specific to the F&B industry, ensuring ledgers and records are up-to-date and compliant with accounting standards.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process vendor invoices and customer payments, ensuring the efficient and timely processing of accounts payable and receivable specific to F&B operations (suppliers, vendors, customer payments, etc.).
- Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements with company financial records, ensuring all cash and credit card transactions are accurately reflected.
- Financial Reporting Assistance: Work closely with the finance team to assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management, highlighting key metrics specific to the F&B industry (e.g., food costs, inventory, sales, etc.).
- Tax Services: Assist with F&B-related tax matters, including registration, filing, refunds, reconsideration, and cancellations. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax laws relevant to the hospitality industry.
- Data Entry & Recordkeeping: Perform regular data entry and maintain updated records in accounting software such as Tally, QuickBooks, or Zoho.
- Inventory & Cost Control: Support inventory management by tracking purchases and managing costs, particularly related to food and beverage inventory, and help reconcile stock levels.
- Compliance & Procedure Management: Ensure adherence to industry-specific accounting policies and procedures, including compliance with local regulations affecting the F&B and hospitality sectors.
- Confidentiality & Integrity: Handle sensitive financial data with discretion and professionalism, ensuring that all information remains confidential.
Required Qualifications:
- F&B Industry Experience: Proven experience working as a bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role within the Food & Beverage or hospitality industry.
- Accounting Software Proficiency: Strong experience using accounting software such as Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho, or similar systems. Knowledge of MS Excel for financial reporting is a must.
- Solid Accounting Knowledge: A strong understanding of accounting principles and best practices, particularly within the F&B or hospitality industries.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to spot discrepancies and ensure financial data is accurate.
- Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Confidentiality & Integrity: Must be trustworthy and able to manage confidential financial data responsibly.
- Strong Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to interact effectively with team members, management, and external stakeholders (e.g., vendors, clients, auditors).
