The Post: Teacher of English
We are looking to appoint an outstanding Teacher of English to join the College. English is the most popular subject at A Level in our College; with 18 groups across the entire A Level cohort, this is a fantastic opportunity to teach English to an advanced level. Behaviour in the College is ‘outstanding’ and the positive relationships between student and teacher, alongside the highly motivated students means that teachers can focus on teaching their subject.
The successful candidate will work in an exceptional department. In 2024 the results were outstanding. In GCSE English Language/Literature over 98% of students achieved grades 9-4. At A Level English Language – 67% achieved A* - B out of which 11% were A*/A. English Literature – 85% achieved A* - B out of which 38% were A*/A.
