The post holder will be responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support to the Neurology Admin team. The post holder will need to enjoy a busy and varied workload and have the ability to prioritise their duties effectively. The post holder will have the opportunity to gain the experience needed to progress within the organisation.
- To process all new referrals and support the appointment process through effective communication with all relevant parties (Central Booking Office, patient / families etc.) in accordance with GOSH’s Departmental Referral Registration Process and Trust’s Access Policy and stipulated timescale.
- To support the Consultants in the referral triage process
- To ensure appropriate arrangements are used to review all referrals and incoming post within the stipulated timescales
- As and when required to accurately type non-routine / urgent patient related information including letter replies etc. within a specific time frame.
- Use a computer for word processing and data entry, together with full knowledge and understanding of the Electronic Patient Records System (Epic) to input and retrieve information as required.
- To maintain a robust system for sending out letters which have been checked and signed off by clinicians
- To carry out general administrative duties such as managing admin inbox, diary management and assist with organisation of events/meetings.
