Purpose of the job
To Lead the Sales & Distribution organization in the assigned area ensuring Sales and secondary distribution, in line with the Sales & Distribution policies in order to deliver sales targets and other important KPIs.
Key Accountabilities
1. Sales
Set targets for the area’s sales force in consultation with the BM and guide and motivate the S&D staff in their performance, to effectively manage and Sales operation and deliver Sales targets
2. Market and Competitor insights
Obtain and maintain information regarding the sales and distribution channels and of competitor activity throughout the area, and share and agree with the BM for appropriate action.
3. Deliver Replenishment targets
Ensure that all Sales staff are well trained and execute the company’s Replenishment program with excellence. Ensure that products are available in the right quantity and are the freshest possible at all times as per the Replenishment system recommendations.
4. Key Accounts
Execute the agreements with Modern Trade / Wholesale customers according to instructions and maintain good business relations with the representatives of customers in the area (national and local accounts).
5. Journey Planning
- Manage the canvassing and opening of new customers.
- Manage and execute the daily journey plans for the sales team in cooperation with the respective sales supervisors, in order to maximise customer service and ensure maximum productivity. Lead route optimization from time to time to improve quality and efficiency of operations
- Merchandising
- execution of merchandising at the points of sale, in line with company policies and instructions, in order to maximise availability and visibility in order to influence the shopper’s choice in favor of Sadafco products.
7. New Customers
Ensure initiation and organization of sales to new customers in the Area, aligned with relevant departments and in line with the S&D plans, in order to increase sales.
8. Credit Management
Execute the approved company credit policy and manage credit and collections for all sales in the Area, ensuring timely payments.
9. Logistic operations
Ensure management and control of the logistic operations to in line with the company distribution policies and according to functional guidelines by Supply Chain Management.
10. Workshop
Ensure all company assets are well maintained and initiate repairs/ replacements where necessary.
11. Wastage
Ensure wastage control is exercised as per company policy and is maintained within company budget/target levels across product groups.
12. Quality Assurance and Mobile Sales Force Application
Ensure and monitor quality control of sales processes, practices and use of MSFA (Mobile Sales Force Application) in line with company standards and policies, and ensure training of staff in the effective use of MSFA.
13. Human Resource Management
Ensure the required number and quality of people is in place within the agree headcount budget and in line with Sadafco’s HR policies, in order to realize the S&D targets.
14. Administration and Reporting
Ensure accurate and timely data entry, administration and reporting for the Area according to the S&D policies and procedures.
Job Requirements
- Educational level: University, minimum Bachelors degree
- Specific diploma/education: e.g. Business, Marketing or Finance
- Minimum experience: seven (7) years relevant experience in van sales.
- Languages: English, Arabic
- Other requirements:
- Numeric and analytical ability, strong computer skills
