We’re seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team in Abu Dhabi. This role is crucial in managing our financial operations and ensuring compliance with UAE VAT laws and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
As a Senior Accountant at Anigma Technologies, you’ll contribute to the financial health of our organization by providing strategic insights, maintaining accurate financial records, and collaborating with key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting
- Prepare and analyze accurate financial statements in compliance with IFRS.
- Provide actionable insights from detailed financial analysis to support decision-making.
UAE VAT Compliance
- Manage VAT filings and audits, ensuring compliance with Federal Tax Authority (FTA) regulations.
Reconciliation & Closing
- Reconcile bank accounts, intercompany transactions, and general ledger accounts.
- Oversee month-end and year-end close processes.
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Develop budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses to aid strategic planning.
Internal Controls
- Implement robust internal control systems and monitor financial risks.
Cost Management
- Conduct cost analyses and recommend strategies for optimization.
Audit Support
- Prepare audit schedules and liaise with external auditors.
- Ensure compliance with UAE labor and financial laws.
ERP & Software Management
- Leverage tools like SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks for accounting processes.
- Optimize workflows using ERP system enhancements.
Team Collaboration
- Train and mentor junior accounting staff.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance financial processes.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education
- Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Professional certifications such as CA, ACCA, or CPA are preferred.
Experience
- 5+ years of accounting experience, including UAE VAT compliance.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).
- Advanced expertise in MS Excel for financial modeling and analysis.
Soft Skills
- Exceptional analytical and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and attention to detail.
