The Risk Management Supervisor is responsible for assisting with execution of activity related to Generate and Operate pillar risk management procedure, their communication, and Audit & Inspection Committee reporting
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy/Governance
Strategy and Mandate
Reviews, understands and remains aligned with Directorate for Inspection strategy
Policy and Procedures
Reviews, understands and complies with Directorate for Inspection policies and procedures
Annual Plan (Development / Monitoring)
Provides input into unit level Inspection Risk Procedure & Reporting annual plan
Supports delivery of Risk Procedure & Reporting plan in accordance with agreed Inspection plan, timetable, resources, and budgets
Operational
Execution
Supports with undertaking specific tasks assigned by senior team member or the Unit Head for Inspection Risk Procedure & Reporting in the execution of Inspection Risk Procedure & Reporting assignments in annual plan and related Inspection Risk Procedure & Reporting activity
Supports senior team member and the Unit Head for Inspection Risk Procedure & Reporting with production and delivery of papers and other staff products
Assists senior team member and the Unit Head for Inspection Risk Procedure & Reporting in any other matters as required
Reporting
Supports creation of draft Inspection Risk Procedure & Reporting outputs/reports
QA
Supports Inspection Risk Procedure & Reporting to address results of QA
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Graduate of a bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, finance, accounting or similar
Professional Certifications: risk management accreditations or similar
Experience
Minimum 4 years experience in risk or related filed
Skills
Technical/practical skills
Basic knowledge and experience in inspection
Basic knowledge in risk assessment and analysis
Basic knowledge in inspection governance, systems and controls including assessment of potential changes and their impact on operations
Basic knowledge and technical experience in setting strategy, professional standards and ways of working for inspection functions
Basic knowledge and technical experience in readiness assessment and review
Organization related expertise
Basic knowledge of control environment across inspection and different internal and external factors that affect its performance
Basic knowledge of latest profession trends, inspection and risk management techniques and practices
Basic knowledge in maintaining integrity, trust, and objectivity during the inspection process and limiting impairments to independence or objectivity
Communication/language
Strong proficiency in communicating complex issues in spoken and written usage of Arabic language required
Proficiency in English preferred
