The team
The ITV Commercial team is responsible for bringing in the revenue to fund ITV’s programmes. However, the Commercial team isn’t just about advertising sales. With a constantly evolving TV marketplace and a multitude of new ways for our viewers to experience ITV, our commercial opportunities have never been more exciting. We have a passion for our brand and work closely with our clients and agencies to build new and innovative commercial ideas on and off-air.
Commercial’s Marketing team leads on communication to ITV’s full range of clients, sponsors and partners and as part of this remit delivers a series of engaging and effective events that range from content upfronts to helping develop future agency leaders via a programme of curated insider tours and events.
The role
The Event Producer will sit within the Commercial Marketing team, in Commercial Sales. They will be responsible for supporting on and delivering a range of events in partnership with teams across Commercial and in close collaboration with ITV’s Brand Experiences team.
The Event Producer will be responsible for developing, planning, managing and delivering industry-leading events. The events will vary in size, location and execution to meet the demands of a busy, pro active, Commercial Sales team. They will be delegated projects to collaborate closely with commercial stakeholders, external vendors, ITV’s facilities teams and production partners. They will be responsible for streamlining and delivering events throughout the year including: external-facing client pitches, webinars, the ITV VIP Scheme, corporate hospitality and an annual away-day for the Commercial department.
Reporting to the Creative Sales Controller and the Brand Experiences Operations Lead, this fixed-term role will deliver core event activity throughout 2025.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting in the planning of the 2025 slate - helping to identify key dates, venues and budgets, and assisting in scoping events to inform Marketing plans
- Taking end-to-end ownership of key events throughout the year
- Submitting requests for freelance resource or specialist suppliers via the Brand Experiences team
- Writing event briefs, reviewing proposals and creating event plans and documents
- Collaborating with Marketing teams to bring their content plans to life through events
- Managing budgets, contracts and briefing/de-briefing processes
- Completing all relevant risk assessment and Health & Safety documents
- Support onsite delivery of events and experiences across the ITV Group if capacity allows
General Responsibilities

- Remain flexible and resilient in the face of changing priorities and objectives
- Work within Brand Experiences and Commercial processes
- Keep up to date with industry trends and bring fresh ideas to the team to evolve our work
- Support and promote sustainable practices in all event planning and delivery
Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria)
- Significant demonstrable experience in a similar role (ideally from the entertainment / creative industry, either in-house or agency), wholly owning and delivering a diverse portfolio of event formats including virtual and hybrid delivery methods
- An expert in innovation and creative events management inc. solid production expertise across design, content development, call sheets, build/staging, AV, lighting etc
- Proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast paced environment - with often conflicting priorities and deadlines
- Strong commercial acumen, able to effectively negotiate costs, accurately track expenditure, and reconcile complex budgets in accordance with financial reporting processes and software
- Experience briefing, onboarding, overseeing and managing external vendors and production partners
- Proficiency in Google Workspace (inc. Gmail, Drive, Slides, Sheets and Docs) plus fluency in Office and Mac applications (inc. Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Keynote)
Other things we’re looking for (key criteria)
- Exceptional organisational, prioritisation and project management skills, with flawless attention to detail and pinpoint accuracy
- Confident and proactive self-starter, comfortable working independently to manage a project as well as working collaboratively as part of a wider team
- Resourcefulness - working within budget limitations to look for new ways to achieve objectives and elevate events
- A confident and clear communicator with good written and verbal skills
- Good understanding of database / delegate management software and systems, such as Dotdigital, Splash, Eventbrite etc
- Naturally curious, with an understanding of the wider media and events / experiential industry inc. good knowledge of TV and wider streaming industry landscape
- A commercial sensibility - you know when to push for more, but when to push back too
Unique Circumstances
- The role is based in central London, but will involve the delivery of events across the UK and occasionally, internationally
- When producing events, there will sometimes be a requirement to spend extended time (inc. overnights) away from home / base
- Early morning, evening and weekend work is sometimes required
- Key dates throughout the year where the workload and requirements of the role are pressurised
