Job Summary:
The job holder shall be responsible to lead the development, implementation and management of the project governance according to the best of industry practices. Ensure alignment to all stakeholders, value delivery, risk management, resource management and performance management. The focus for this role is efficient management of project personnel including being a point of escalation, helping to mitigate project risks, as well as actively managing the projects portfolio.
Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Lead the development and maintenance of the projects and ensure all stakeholders are abreast of all activities at all-time throughout the journey of the program.
2. Develop and lead the program's dashboard ensuring continuous transparency of progress, performance, risks, issues, etc.
3. Establish project change and release management functions.
4. Apply in-depth knowledge of project management methodologies and technologies.
5. Continuously evaluating projects to ensure they are meeting departments standards, adhering to budgets, and meeting deadlines.
6. Drafting new and improving existing project management office policies and processes.
7. Engage with suppliers and partners to ensure the smooth project delivery as well as helping to build key, long lasting relationships.
8. Adhere to commercial governance in all projects, as per applicable standards.
9. Manage the departments portfolio of projects and interdependencies between projects amongst the project management team section members.
10. Develop and update project reports, presentations and papers to higher management.
11. Perform other duties as requested to meet the ongoing organizational needs.
Essential Education:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, Information Management/project management, or a related discipline.
Essential Certifications:
PMP/Prince2 certification is a must
Essential Experience:
Based on the education and experience, the grade would vary in line with the HR law. However, 10 years of relevant field experience in which 3 years in supervisory/ managerial role.
