Job Title – Academy Scout
Location – Cobham
4 x Permanent, Part-Time Vacancies (6HR, 8HR, 10HR & 14HR) across weekends and some week days.
About the Team:
Our Local Recruitment department is driven to continue to recruit the very best local talents and maintain our success in grassroots recruitment. Therefore, we require several Academy Scouts supporting the Head of Local Grassroots Scouting to attend games live and on video to identify, monitor, report and secure the best local talents. You will work closely with the Head of Local Grassroots Scouting, Local Grassroots Scout Manager and other Academy Scouts to record, present and utilise information and data that optimises the Grassroots scouting department decision making to confirm and enables the recruitment of high potential talent to Chelsea FC.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Attend/watch games and report in line with the CFC reporting procedures and timeframes.
- Provide player recommendations in line with the CFC reporting procedures and timeframes.
- Ensure regular communications with management and Recruitment staff across local recruitment.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the football culture and infrastructure within our local recruitment catchment areas including grassroots leagues, school districts private schools, academies, 1to1 coaching providers and local non-league, college provision.
- Develop and maintain a strong network of contacts within clubs, including Sport Directors, Manages, Teachers, Coaches, Agents and other key stakeholders.
What we are looking for:
- Valid driving licence.
- Minimum of FA Level 1 in Talent ID Qualification and/or Level 2 in Coaching Licence.
- Extensive knowledge of local grassroots football and the geographic region, including culture, legislation, and football market.
