The Role:

The Junior PR Account Manager is a mid-level management role for someone with a minimum of 4/5 years of experience in the field. The Junior PR Account Manager is responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, assisting in the development and execution of PR strategies, managing a team of junior and PR Executives.

Responsibilities:

Client Management:

Manage client accounts and develop PR strategies to meet their objectives
Assist in the creation of comprehensive PR plans and campaigns
Maintain regular communication with clients to ensure their needs are met
Contributing to weekly meetings, and liaising and updating clients on PR activities
Monitor and analyze media coverage
Handle client inquiries, requests, and concerns in a timely and professional manner

Media Relations:

Develop and maintain relationships with key media outlets and journalists
Pitch stories and secure media coverage for clients
Monitor industry trends and identify opportunities for media exposure
Developing news angles, stories and pitches to further the client’s profile, products and services
Securing high-end interviews for key clients
Conduct research and analysis to measure PR success and identify areas for improvement
Being involved in pitching for new business and developing PR proposals

Content Development:

Assist in creating compelling and engaging content for press releases, media pitches, articles, and other communication materials
Ensure content is tailored to the target audience and aligned with client objectives.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather necessary information for content creation
Edit and proofread content for accuracy and consistency
Contribute to brainstorming sessions and strategy development

Management:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive and integrated PR strategies
Managing and mentoring junior members of staff
Support the training and onboarding of new team members
Collaborate with senior PR managers to support the development of the PR department's capabilities and expertise.
Contribute to the creation of training materials and best practices documentation
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the PR team

Relevant skills/ aptitude

High levels of communication - both presentation, verbal and written skills
Agency experience working with F&B and/or lifestyle clients is mandatory
Must be well connected in the media industry - Strong relationships with both local and national business and Lifestyle/F&B media outlets
Impressive emotional intelligence and interpersonal expertise
A passion for the media and the F&B industries
Flair for creativity, strategic thinking and innovation
Strong copywriting skills
Commercially aware and business savvy
Strong presentation skills
Good industry knowledge and experience in building influential networks
Outstanding organisation with an ability to manage multiple projects and portfolios
Demonstrated critical thinking and problem solving abilities
