We have expanded to five Haematology Wards to soon become the largest Clinical Haematology & Bone Marrow Transplant Unit in Europe. We are lucky enough to have exceptional teams of nurses and as a result the service has earned a deserved national reputation.
We have vacancies on the Haematology Wards…
Our wards are nurse led and are supported by a nursing infrastructure including a dedicated nursing central venous access team, nursing chemotherapy team and a nursing educational team. Not only does this provide our ward nurses with opportunities to develop quickly, it gives them the time to care properly for patients. Our nursing ward ratios are on average 1 nurse to 3 or 4 patients.
Cancer Services at UCLH are based in state of the art facilities. Inpatients are currently located in the modern UCH Tower. Haematology Day-care services are located in a purpose built Cancer Centre that opened in 2014. In 2020 Haematology inpatients transfer to a purpose built Haematology & BMT Inpatient Hospital next door to the Cancer Centre and UCL Cancer Institute – creating a leading cancer campus.
