Purpose:
Central Bank of Oman is seeking to recruit competent, committed, self-motivated and enthusiastic Omani candidate to work as Macroeconomic Stability Analyst.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing/reviewing quarterly Systemic Risk Dashboards (SRDBs).
- Assist in preparing/reviewing Financial Stability Report (FSR) and Macroeconomic Stability Report (MSR).
- Assist in the required follow-up of observations made on FSR, MSR & SRDBs.
- Assist in preparing policy-relevant notes, studies, or papers on macroprudential oversight, systemic risk, financial institutions, financial markets, and/or other financial stability issues.
- Assist in measuring, assessing, and monitoring the build-up of systemic risks and vulnerabilities. The assessment includes analysis of domestic and global developments.
- Assessment of Interconnectedness within the financial system that may exacerbate systemic risks.
- Assist in preparing of Joint Committee for Financial Stability meeting agenda, file, discussion papers, minutes of meetings and all other written communication pertaining to the committee.
- Prepare for meetings related to macroprudential policy and assessment with investors, credit rating agencies, IMF missions.
- Assist in Resolution Planning, Resolution Monitoring, and Resolvability Assessment.
- Any other work assigned by the Head.
Required Competencies and Skills:
1.Ability to comprehend and summarize reports/ documents related to financial stability, banking, and macro-economy.
2. Good analytical skills.
3.Ability to work with data, and present data in the form of tables and graphs.
4. Report writing and business correspondence skills in English and Arabic.
5.Must have a personal sense of responsibility.
6. Motivated, cooperative and diligent.
7.Ability to work in teams.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in economics, Finance and Accounting or any related field.
1-3 years of work experience in related areas.
Desirable Qualifications:
Master's in economics, Finance and Accounting
Professional qualifications ACCA, CPA, CFA, FRM, CMA.
