Job Title: Emergency Room Technician
Summary:
The ER Technician supports patient care and operations in the emergency room, assisting with basic medical procedures, patient monitoring, and clinical support under the direction of RNs or physicians.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with patient triage, assessment, and basic life support.
Perform wound care, splinting, EKGs, and phlebotomy.
Transport patients and maintain treatment areas.
Stock supplies and ensure equipment functionality.
Maintain accurate patient records and adhere to infection control protocols.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; EMT or Medical Assistant program preferred.
Experience: Prior healthcare experience, especially in ER or urgent care.
Certification: Current BLS; EMT preferred.
Skills: Strong communication, ability to work in high-stress environments, and proficiency in basic medical procedures.
