- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and standards.
- Provide insights and variance analysis to explain financial results.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Oversee month-end and year-end close processes.
- Ensure timely and accurate recording of financial transactions.
- Assist in the development of budgets and forecasts.
- Monitor actual performance against budgeted figures.
- Provide recommendations for budget adjustments as needed.
- Conduct financial analysis to support business decisions.
- Identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks.
- Prepare ad-hoc financial reports for management.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to financial processes.
- Work with tax professionals to ensure accurate and timely tax filings.
- Stay informed about changes in tax laws and regulations
- Supervise, mentor and guide junior accounting staff, fostering a team-oriented environment and ensuring compliance with IFRS standards.
- Provide training on accounting policies and procedures.
- Review the work of subordinates for accuracy and completeness.
- Perform any other related tasks as per the department and line manager needs.
Education:
- Bachelor's/master’s degree in accounting, Finance, or equivalent
- CPA/CMA certification is preferred
Work Experience
7+ years of professional accounting experience in a corporate or public accounting company setting
- Experience with financial reporting, reconciliations, and account analysis.
- Familiarity with tax filings, financial audits, and internal controls.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and financial regulations.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS standards and their application to financial accounting and reporting.
- High level of English (written and spoken) – Arabic is a plus
