- Must possess ONC or equivalent in a relevant discipline or standard based qualification (NVQ level 2) or equivalent.
- May be required to take a Competency Based test witnessed by the company Discipline Engineer.
- Must be a Site Wide Permit Holder.
- Should have experience with HART and Foundation Field Bus based instruments.
- Needs to have English proficiency to IELTS level 5 equivalent.
- Should have knowledge of process equipment like Flow Instrument, Level Instrument, Pressure Instrument, Temperature Instrument, etc.
- Must have a good understanding of QA/QC and HSE compliance audits.
- Should be proficient in using Microsoft Windows and Office suite of packages.
- Should be trained in routine maintenance of Pressure, Temperature, Level and Flow loops, including removal and reinstallation.
- Must be trained in routine maintenance of Control Valves, Solenoid Valves, Pneumatic Actuators, smart Positioners, etc.
- Should have knowledge of working on HART and Foundation Field Bus based instruments.
- Must have experience in glanding cables.
- Should be able to understand job requests and discuss repair methods with Supervision.
- Should be able to assist in loop testing, function testing and commissioning of instrumentation loops.
- Must be able to use all standard instrument test equipment.
- Should be able to read and understand the PEFS or P&ID, Loop diagrams and Instrument data sheets.
- Must be familiar with Hazardous area equipment.
- Should be able to use test equipment and perform instrument calibrations.
- Must become a Site Wide Permit Holder within 3 months.
- Should be able to report close out activities & capture work history in CMMS or SAP-PM&MM.
- Must have experience in the calibration methodology for pH, Electrical Conductivity, Dissolved Oxygen (DO), Oxidation Reduction Potential Analyzer’s (ORP).
- Should have the ability to program, the menu driven Transmitters.
- Must have experience in the use of Portable Reference Analyzer’s.
- Must have more than 6 years of experience in the Oil and Gas or Power Generation industries, with a minimum of 2 years as an Instrument Maintenance Technician.
