Overview
The Operations and Maintenance Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation and upkeep of the organization's equipment and facilities. They are responsible for overseeing daily operations, conducting maintenance activities, and implementing strategies to enhance operational efficiency.
Job Description
- Operate the plant under the supervision of the Deputy Plant Manager
- Maintain the plant under the supervision of the Maintenance Manager
- Carry out maintenance work orders, both preventive and corrective maintenance
- Operate the plant according to the Standard Operating Procedures
- Write Work Orders based on needed maintenance work
- Keep all required logs
- Document all maintenance work
- Works with the Infor-EAM computerized maintenance management software
- Routinely monitor all plant equipment including at the headwork
- Work on any specified task assigned by the Supervisors
- The work schedule shall be as determined by the Plant Management
- Candidates with academic backgrounds in relevant fields should have a comprehensive understanding of equipment and systems pertinent to their specialization, along with knowledge of related international standards.
Functional Knowledge and Aptitude
- CAN DO attitude
- Is not averse to being hands-on with physical activity and getting dirty
- Technologically literate with strong computer skills including familiarity with technical software
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Should know about International Standards in the related engineering field
Qualifications Required
- Graduation from Nepali University or Accredited Foreign University
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with 1 to 3 years professional experience in related field
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering in any of the following Disciplines:
- Electrical Engineering
- Electronics Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- First Division or Above in Aggregate score
- Candidate scoring is to be based on the following weightage. GPA scores to be converted to % Scores
- 50% Total Aggregate Score
- 30% Mathematics Scores cumulated from all applicable semesters
- 20% English cumulated from all applicable semesters
- Registered in Nepal Engineering Council (NEC)
- Preference will be given for knowledge about Operation and Maintenance of Hydropower plant
- Should be skilled in computer usage, Windows, MS office and AutoCAD
Others
- Should be a Nepalese Citizen
- Should be able to ride a motorcycle and preferably 4-wheeler and should have a valid license for the same
- Special Preference shall be given to residents of affected VDC
- The Company will provide food and accommodation during the work shift
- Preference will be given to candidates with relevant training
- Preference will be given to Mandarin (Chinese) speaking candidate
