The Research Culture Team provides institutional leadership on the development of UCL’s research culture by designing, coordinating and implementing an ambitious programme of change and by providing support to Faculties and departments for local initiatives.
About The Role
We are recruiting a Project Officer to join us on a Fixed-Term Contract for up 22 months, or until August 2026.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the administrative tasks associated with UCL’s Research Culture Programme. The role will support the successful delivery of the programme through effective administration, meeting support and maintenance of programme and project-related documentation. The role will involve maintaining project documentation, organising meetings, and assisting with events and workshops. Responsibilities will also include diary management, HR and finance support, and ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day operations.
This role is offered on a hybrid working basis, the successful candidate will be expected to work at least one day per week from campus.
About You
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in providing effective team and project support within a complex organisation, as well as organising committees and meetings. The role requires experience in taking and accurately transcribing meeting minutes, processing invoices, maintaining records, and managing events. Familiarity with project management tools and experience within a higher education or research environment is desirable.
Strong computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Teams), are required, along with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and spoken. You should also be able to demonstrate strong organisational abilities to manage competing demands effectively.
