One of our favourite clients and fast growing recruitment agency is currently looking for a Junior Finance Assistant to join their friendly Finance team.
They are a brilliant team of people who socialise regularly and this role has huge scope for progression too.
This role is a key part of the Finance team, assisting in the day-to-day finance function of the business. There is a wide variety of accounting exposure to be gained in this role and includes many of the perks of working within a smaller company – autonomy, creative socials and an opportunity to have a big impact.
Duties and Responsibilities of role:
- Invoicing: responsible for creation, approval and sending of a high volume of sales invoices (freelancers and client invoices) on Xero.
- Assist in the client PO and freelancer timesheet process.
- Placement expense reconciliations
- Monitoring client credit insurance limit usage and applying for new limits.
- Credit control – communicate with clients by phone and email regarding overdue sales invoices and send monthly statements.
- Liaising with freelancers and clients on payment and invoicing enquiries.
- Assist with bank & credit card posting & reconciliations (6 accounts, 3 different currencies).
- Coordinating with Operations Manager on contract compliance process.
- Assisting the team with adhoc reporting requirements
- Build relationships & support other core functions (Marketing, Admin team & Sales team)

Specific Skills, Knowledge and Experience Required
- University graduate (Finance or Accounting)
- Some experience with general accounting and finance practices – ideally 1 year of work experience
- Part qualified AAT advantageous
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills and ability to learn quickly
- Working experience with accounting software (exposure to Xero is a plus)
Salary £30,000-£32,000 plus study support (they would go up to £35,000 for the right candidate).
