Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Accountant at GrandSeal Solutions in Sharjah. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for day-to-day financial activities, including preparing financial statements, analyzing budgets, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
- Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and variance analysis.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Develop and implement internal controls and accounting policies.
- Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting.
- Prepare tax filings and ensure compliance with all tax regulations.
- Mentor and guide junior accounting staff, providing training as needed.
- Collaborate with external auditors during the annual audit process.
- Stay updated on industry trends and changes in regulations affecting accounting practices.
Qualifications
- Experience in Financial Reporting, Budget Analysis, and Profit & Loss reports
- Experience with ERP (financial software and systems)
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools.
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Experience in the chemical or construction industry is a plus
