Responsibilities
Quality Assurance and Control
- Develop and implement quality management plans specific to mechanical systems in desalination plants.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations (e.g., ASME, ISO).
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to assess compliance with quality standards.
Project Coordination
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure quality standards are integrated into project planning and execution.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for quality-related issues on-site.
Documentation And Reporting
- Maintain comprehensive records of quality inspections, tests, and audits.
- Prepare and submit regular quality reports to project stakeholders, highlighting issues, corrective actions, and improvements.
Non-Conformance Management
- Identify, document, and manage non-conformance issues related to mechanical installations and operations.
- Develop corrective action plans and ensure timely resolution of quality issues.
Training And Development
- Provide training and guidance to site personnel on quality standards and procedures.
- Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the project team.
Risk Management
- Assess potential risks related to mechanical quality and implement mitigation strategies.
- Conduct root cause analysis for quality failures and recommend preventive measures.
Supplier And Vendor Management
- Evaluate and monitor the quality performance of suppliers and subcontractors.
- Ensure that materials and components meet specified quality requirements before installation
Qualifications
BE / B-Tech in Mechanical Engineering from a reputable institute with 10 to 15Years
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a reputable institute with 12 to 15 Years
Professional Qualification (Desired)
- ISO certification in Internal Audit / Lead Audit is desirable.
ASNT/ISNT NDT Level II in VT, PT, MT, RT, UT
