Sourcing Manager - Fresh Food | MAF Retail | Head Office Oman
ROLE SUMMARY
The Sourcing Manager - Fresh Food is responsible for coordinating with buyers as well as supporting purchases for Majid AlFuttaim Retail. The role holder is also responsible for assisting with selection and examining products that get to store shelves, in catalogues, and online.
ROLE PROFILE
- Implement effective strategies for sourcing goods and maintaining desired stock levels.
- Prepare and review purchase details of orders and deliveries.
- Engage in souring the best quality products for competitive prices aligned with the organisation’s objectives
- Develop a cost scenario analysis, and benchmarking for the sourcing function when required.
- Identify profitable suppliers and initiate partnerships.
- Oversee communication with suppliers on quality related issues and propose areas for improvement to ensure best quality products.
- Communicate with relevant stakeholders to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the sourcing function.
- Research and suggest new suppliers with long-term cost savings or quality improvement.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or relevant.
- Master’s Degree is a plus.
- 5 – 7 years in similar position and experience in retail is a plus.
- Strong business communication and negotioation skills.
- Excellent knowledge of importing and Sourcing Channels.
- Full Profiency in English.
