We are looking for a talented, highly motivated, qualified Medical Photographer to join our expanding team, based at The Royal Albert Edward Infirmary and working across all Trust sites.
The successful applicant will have proven experience in all aspects of medical photography and be able to pay close and accurate attention to detail and be able to demonstrate a wide range of clinical and non-clinical work.
As a Band 5 Medical Photographer you will be expected to hold a degree in Medical Illustration/photography or equivalent and be AHCS registered.
For those candidates who do not meet these criteria, we will consider applicants with a degree in photography or equivalent for a training position whilst you undertake a graduate/postgraduate certificate in clinical photography. You will be required to become AHCS registered on completion. If you commence as a trainee you will be paid on Annex 21 (this will be explained at interview) until you have completed your training.

The Medical Illustration Service provides a clinical and non-clinical photographic/videographic service as well as a graphic service to the entire trust across all sites.
The post holder will be responsible for providing a good quality clinical photography and videography for diagnosis, case records, education, research and publication, in all hospital areas i.e. wards, studio, operating theatres and outpatient clinics.
Responsible for providing a good quality general photographic support service for patient information, research, publication, and education.
To be involved with the graphics service and income generation projects within the department when required.
To guide junior/administration staff as directed by the senior clinical photographers, in their absence.
Help to improve current protocols and developing/implementing new services. An ability to adapt to new circumstances will be essential.
