Role Purpose:

The Chief Transformation Officer assumes a key role in driving efforts to disrupt and transform operations, processes and ways of working across Oman Airport with mandates to commercialize new ideas, spearhead growth initiatives, and facilitate change management and be responsible for developing the company’s strategic initiatives as it aims to overhaul its business. The CTO will drive innovation and leverage off to develop commercial offerings and internal process simplification to optimize human resources and financial capital across all operations. Developing continuous improvement projects, the CTO will be a role model and champion in fostering a culture of innovation and lead pioneering efforts into transformative ways of working. Implementing operational Excellence standards and process frameworks, the CTO will build organisational capability and develop talent across Oman Airports. The CTO is integral to critical and strategic planning and will lead and oversee the PMO in collaboration with the CEO and leadership team. Exercise financial and operational authority as per Oman Airport management guidelines. This influential position involves offering key inputs on project feasibility, impacting decisions. By identifying, sourcing, and analyzing relevant information, the CTO contributes to decision-making aligned with Oman Airport's strategic direction. The role actively leads Oman Airport's ongoing transformation, supporting process reengineering and utilizing in-house capabilities for facility management.
Key Accountabilities:
- Contribute to the overall corporate management and decision-making process for maximizing short, medium, and long-term profitability.
- Formulate and lead the implementation of Oman Airport's master plan strategy in alignment with its transformational, vision, mission, and objectives in line with the wider aviation ecosystem.
- Translate the overall strategy into transformational plans and monitor performance against strategic goals.
- Collaborate with peers and stakeholders, building strong, sustainable relationships to facilitate the attainment of Oman Airport and wider aviation ecosystem strategic goals
- Develop insights into customers’ expectations and what they will pay for. This includes a solid foundation in competitive intelligence with an understanding of how disruptive competitors are creating value for their customers.
- Establish relationships with C-suite employees and other key stakeholders.
- Define the transformation vision, becoming a North Star for the organization, along with the leadership team
- Inspire innovation and encourage outperformance by collaborating with thought shapers in the industry and region
- Improve performance by reviewing performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and setting goals accordingly.

- Analyze market trends and the competitive landscape, leveraging technology and data
- Help to communicating Oman Airport’s organizational objectives to employee, shareholders and stakeholders.
- Apply contemporary concepts to link incentives directly to transformation outcomes while incorporating agile ways of working to accelerate transformations
- Set project management frameworks aligned with international best practices, ensuring consistency among different projects.
- Oversee the identification and evaluation of project solutions, associated risks, and development of technical solutions
- Guide and oversee project management through effective communication, liaison with stakeholders, and ensuring projects align with approved budgets.
- Lead the selection of potential consultants, contractors, and sub-vendors, overseeing contractual aspects to ensure cost-effective and quality services.
- Develop and maintain effective business relationships with internal and external entities, including stakeholders, service providers, and government bodies.
- Lead and direct change management initiatives, continuously improving departmental systems, processes, and practices.
- Assess the availability and readiness of resources within the organization.
- Understand the impact of the customer journey with mapping and analysis.
Role Requirements:
- Must be Omani National
- Ideally 15 years of experience in a similar role (preferably in the Aviation/Airport Sector) with at least five years of experience in a leadership role in a large organisation.
- Bachelor’s degree in management/ finance/ aviation/engineering with a preference for candidates holding a Master's degree or post graduate professional qualification.
- Possession of a professional certification in Project Management from a globally recognized institute is highly desirable.
