Job Summary:
Supervise all standard production tasks and contribute to the growth and profitability of the organization and making effective use of all available resources (man, material, and machine).
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for proper and vigilant supervision of Granulation and Blending department and machines.
- Execution of weekly plan in Granulation and Blending area, and meeting production schedule in timely within budgetary allocations & responsible to maintain daily production output.
- To ensure that material losses are kept under control and that material consumption, outputs, machines, and labor hours are accurately recorded in SAP.
- Responsible for maintaining high levels of CGMP on the floor (like cleanliness, batch segregation etc.).
- Responsible for providing appropriate training and development to ensure that the OSD floor complies with the EHS standards.
- To ensure that changeover costs are kept under control and production capacities are used efficiently.
- To ensure optimization of allocated resources & to maintain company’s properties (equipment) in good condition.
- Prepare, review, and amend BMRs, SOPs, and production formats and find any gaps so that operations can be improved in accordance with standard guidelines.
- Ensure timely maintenance of the machine with co-ordination of Engineering.
- To perform line clearance and in process checks as back up supervisor in other areas of OSD manufacturing.
- Responsible for projects pertaining to operational excellence and the timely submission of pertinent reports.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- A Qualified Pharmacist with comprehensive understanding of OSD manufacturing operations.
- Minimum 5 Years experience in production environment, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role
- Understanding of quality standards (WHO, PIC/S) and health and safety regulations.
- Good computer skills and knowledge of software like MS Office and SAP.
- Effective communication abilities.
- Effective time management, leadership, and organizing abilities.
- Self-assured and capable of making thoughtful, detail-oriented decisions.
