Overview
The role is responsible to co-ordinate and ensures incoming materials and finished product quality testing, data collection for reporting purpose and ensures statistical trend analysis of information to identify opportunities for food quality and food safety improvement. This role is responsible to collaborate with internal customers regarding opportunities of product quality and food safety till their closure through root cause analysis and other quality control tools.
Ensure product quality specifications are met and coordinate with relevant Stackholders to operate shift operation as per standards of AIB, ASHA and QAS.
Responsibilities
- Perform regular sampling, testing, monitoring, data entries, review and Quality walls (process & packaging) of two lines (Preferably PC lines in particular and monitor NPC lines through QFS Administrator and Analysts as per defined frequencies and coordinate with FLM about information of product quality as well as required corrective actions to ensure product within specifications. Perform sampling and testing and data entries of incoming RMPM of PC lines and their clearance in SAP.2. Ensure control of non-conforming materials of all lines products through PepsiCo Hold and Releaseguidelines and coordinate with relevant team to avoid mishandling or dispatch of any out of specification product, Perform verification testing and close all hold incidents of respective shift through proper root cause analysis as defined in Hold release procedure. Perform the hold and release activity in SAP/ASRS as well as per requirement of QAS.3. Ensure that all laboratory instruments are calibrated to ensure all testing are with confidence circleand control samples “AQC” are tested (Moisture, Oil, Salt, FFA) on instruments to ensure instruments are within specs in respective shift. Ensure 5S standard in Lab, Quality wall and Reference room.4. Conduct at least one thorough line walks in Process, Packaging and Storage areas for all lines during the shift to ensure compliance to PepsiCo Quality and Food Safety standards.5. Perform/conduct -FL710 daily checks and Bias tracking, sampling and Testing + results entries in Bias Manager for both PC lines and perform corrective action if required.6. Conduct atleast one audit of Third party cold store in a month as per Quality and Food safety standards and submit report.7. Prepare Daily QA&FS score card for QA morning meeting and Management morning meeting to show performance of products and any opportunity area.8. Perform Finished products UD (Usage decision) in SAP for nimko nuts on time after reviewing micro reports along with communication to stakeholders9. Ensure compliance of regulatory standards of process, packaging and storage areas and highlight any deviation.10. Participation in preparation activities of external audits of QAS, ASHA, HALAL, AIB & FSSC.11. Take overall responsibility of each activities of respective shift and ensure that all tasks are completed as per PepsiCo guidelines and protocols.12. Apart from the above, employee is expected to perform other accountabilities, time to time assigned by the manager.
Qualifications
Knowledge/Skill1. BS/MS degree in Food Technology/Chemistry/QM 2. Good knowledge of material testing and quality assessment3.
