Job Purpose:
The Business Intelligence Specialist plays a crucial role in driving data-driven decision-making and business improvement initiatives within the organization. The primary focus of this role is to leverage data analytics, develop dashboards, and implement business enhancement strategies through task automation, project management, and task force collaboration.
Key Tasks and Duties:
- Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports to provide insights into key business metrics and performance indicators.
- Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for optimization.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their reporting needs and ensure that dashboard solutions meet business requirements.
a. Task Automation:
- Identify repetitive manual tasks and processes that can be automated to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Design, develop, and implement automated solutions using business intelligence tools and scripting languages.
- Monitor automated processes to ensure accuracy, reliability, and compliance with organizational standards.
b. Project Management:
- Lead and participate in business intelligence projects from inception to completion.
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines in consultation with key stakeholders.
- Coordinate project activities, allocate resources, track progress, and manage risks to ensure successful project outcomes.
c. Task Force Collaboration:
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration by forming task forces to address specific business challenges or opportunities.
- Define the objectives, scope, and responsibilities of each task force to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Foster effective communication and teamwork among task force members to drive innovation and achieve desired outcomes.
Academic and Professional Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.
- Proven experience in dashboard development, data analysis, task automation, project management, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Proficiency in business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and extract actionable insights.
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, SQL) and automation tools for process optimization.
- Excellent project management skills, including the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks effectively.
