Newly Qualified Operating Department Practitioner / Theatre Practitioner
Band 5 – Permanent
Full-Time (37.5 hours per week)
Are you qualifying in 2025 as an ODP? We are looking for a dynamic, motivated, soon-to-qualify ODP who would like to work in a great team. We offer a nurturing, supportive environment with an excellent 12 month preceptorship programme along with a 15% pay increase on your salary plus a high cost area supplement.
The department is currently undergoing an ambitious building programme that will result in a brand new cancer centre consisting of 6 new theatres in addition to our current 19 operating theatres. The career pathway for newly qualified ODPs joining our team has never been better with all the opportunities that an expanding department brings along with an embedded culture of career development for our ODPs. You will be involved in working in and outside of theatres, assisting the resus team as they attend emergencies within the hospital and supporting anaesthetists in out-of-department anaesthetics. We are a happy, vibrant team that will help you take your first steps and provide opportunities to help you flourish and develop.

- Newly Qualified Operating Department Practitioner/Anaesthetic Nurse
- Working in teams or with minimum supervision
- Experience in a caring role
- Competence across a range of skills and specialties, supported by clinical knowledge
