Position Title: AML Analyst
Job Summary:
As an AML Analyst, you will be responsible for identification, Transaction analysis, monitoring and reporting of Anti Money Laundering, Ensuring Compliance with applicable laws, rules, regulations and Bank policies and procedures mainly in AML policies procedures.
Responsibilities:
Monitor and review transactions through automated systems to identify suspicious activity and potential money laundering or terrorism financing risk and investigate and analyze alerts generated by transaction monitoring systems and conduct appropriate due diligence to identify any red flags. Ensure accurate escalation of alerts within 3 weeks of any suspicious transactions for Further investigations
- Investigation of Suspicious Activity:
Investigate alerted customers transactions and prepare detailed reports on the review outcome, including Red Flags identified, in accordance with the CBUAE regulatory guidelines. Perform in-depth analysis of transactional data, including large, unusual, or complex transactions, to assess risk and determine whether they require further investigation or reporting. Collaborate with other departments (such as outreach, operations) to resolve issues or gather additional information / evidence as part of the investigation process.
- AML Reporting and Documentation:
Prepare and maintain documentation for suspicious activity investigations, ensuring that all relevant information is accurately recorded and accessible for future audits or regulatory reviews Assist in the preparation and filing of STR/SARs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and or Professional qualifications in Risk & Control professions.
- Minimum 2 years overall banking experience in control functions i.e. Compliance, risk, Audit etc.
- Good understanding of Regulatory and Compliance Knowledge - MIS Generation and Analytics -Bank Systems Knowledge - Banking Products, Services and Operations Knowledge - Compliance Due Diligence Process - Compliance Review and Improvement - Regulatory Coordination and Query Handling.
