GEMS Cambridge International School is seeking a dedicated and experienced Head of Year 11, qualified to teach either History or Science. This key leadership role requires a strong commitment to pastoral care, academic success, and fostering a positive school culture. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the academic and personal development of our learners, ensuring they are fully prepared for their GCSE examinations.

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the primary point of contact for Year 11 learners, parents, and teachers regarding pastoral matters, academic progress, and student welfare.
Monitor student attendance, behaviour, and performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing interventions where necessary.
Provide academic guidance and support, working closely with form tutors, subject teachers, and the Senior Leadership Team to track progress and address concerns.
Lead and organise year group assemblies, events, and activities that promote personal growth, academic excellence, and a strong sense of community.
Support learners in their preparations for GCSEs, coordinating revision sessions and study skills workshops.
Liaise with external stakeholders, including parents and examination bodies, to ensure that students are on track for success.
Collaborate with the History or Science department (depending on your subject specialism) to contribute to high-quality teaching and learning in your area of expertise.
