Job Overview:

The Warehouse Officer will oversee the day-to-day operations of the warehouse in a manufacturing environment. This role ensures efficient management of inventory, timely dispatch of goods, accurate record-keeping, and maintenance of safety standards. The Warehouse Officer plays a key role in optimizing warehouse processes and ensuring the smooth flow of materials and products.

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory Management:

Monitor and manage stock levels, ensuring accurate records of all incoming and outgoing goods.
Perform regular physical stock audits to verify inventory accuracy.
Coordinate with procurement and production departments for timely stock replenishment.

Warehouse Operations:

Supervise the receipt, storage, and dispatch of raw materials and finished goods.
Ensure proper labeling, stacking, and storage of items following company guidelines.
Maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization of the warehouse area.
Implement FIFO (First-In, First-Out) principles to manage stock effectively.

Data Recording and Reporting:

Maintain updated records of all warehouse transactions, including receipts, issues, and dispatches.
Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports on inventory levels and warehouse activities.
Use warehouse management software or ERP systems to track inventory movements.

Team Supervision:

Manage warehouse staff and ensure proper training in warehouse operations, safety standards, and stock management.
Assign tasks to warehouse personnel and ensure smooth workflow.
Monitor employee performance and provide feedback for improvement.

Logistics Coordination:

Coordinate with the transportation department or external logistics partners for the timely dispatch of goods.
Ensure proper documentation for goods in transit and receipt.
Resolve any issues related to delayed or damaged deliveries.

Health and Safety:

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the warehouse.
Conduct regular inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
Promote a safe working environment for all warehouse personnel.

Continuous Improvement:

Identify areas for improvement in warehouse processes and implement solutions to enhance efficiency.
Stay updated with best practices in warehouse management and apply relevant changes to improve operations.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
2-3 years of experience in warehouse or logistics management, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
Knowledge of inventory management software or ERP systems.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Understanding of health and safety standards in warehouse management.
