The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely financial management and reporting. This role involves managing financial accounts, payroll, budgets, cash receipts, and financial assets, as well as developing and implementing accounting policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll, and utilities.
- Monitor and analyze accounting data to produce financial reports or statements.
- Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
- Coordinate and complete annual audits.
- Provide recommendations for improving systems and procedures.
- Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Prepare financial forecasts and budgets.
- Conduct variance analysis and reconciliations of financial data.
- Maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions.
- Handle all tax related matters VAT, WHT and CIT in the region (Egypt, Lebanon and UAE)
- Coordinate with payroll provider to settle social securities, payroll tax and NSSF registrations (Egypt and Lebanon)
Requirements:
- Proven working experience as an Accounting Manager, Accounting Supervisor, or Finance Manager.
- Advanced computer skills, including proficiency with MS Office and accounting software.
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to direct and supervise a team.
- BS degree in Accounting or Finance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CPA or CMA certification.
- Experience with financial audits and compliance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
